| Eva Longoria sees life's funny side
And that means no falling in love with another woman. "I thought it would be very funny to play a ghost," Longoria says. "They originally sent me the script to play Ashley, but I read the script and fell in love with Kate. She's just so funny [laughs]. And, she gets to levitate ... I've always been a fan of those really great, classic ghost-angel movies, like 'It's a Wonderful Life.' A ghost in a movie is so Shakespearean." Kate is also the best-dressed ghost you'll ever see. A series of white dresses, fabulous shoes, gorgeous hair and one heckuva tan should set man-ghost hearts aflutter. But she has business on earth to tend to. "A heavenly wardrobe," Longoria says, laughing. "That was a big discussion because we were like, 'Does she wear the same outfit all the time?' The director said he wanted her to change with the environment.
Sturgeon: put the treetop adventure course on hold
The fact is that this consultation failed and, instead of pressing full steam ahead to a planning decision, the council should allow it to be re-run. "It is simply not credible to argue that people knew what was going on but chose to ignore it. "I hope that the council and Go Ape will now agree to take a step back and allow for a proper consultation with the real owners of Pollok Park - the people of Glasgow." But, despite her appeal, the council responded yesterday by insisting it is "not in a position" to halt the planning application and has no plans to re-run its consultation. A council spokesman said: "A third party has made a planning application and, as a result, the statutory planning process is now under way. The FBI says he plotted to hijack an airplane. Agents found the teen with rope, duct tape, and handcuffs. He never tried anything on the plane. They say he is suicidal. The TSA says nothing found with the teenager is prohibited, not even the handcuffs. On its website the agency says this is a lesson to watch for suspicious behavior as much as for items. The U.S. Attorney's office in Nashville says it is reviewing the case to see if federal charges are appropriate. Wet Weather Weekend Posted by Christie Smith at 11:14 a.m. .
Say No To The Vocoder
No matter who becomes President, this election year is sure to bring change in Washington. Both parties are presenting candidates who want to learn from the mistakes of the Bush years and regain America's standing throughout the world. Today, the Hip-Hop community represents an ever expanding range of backgrounds, ethnicities and experiences, so we have a responsibility to combine our vast resources to correct what may be the biggest tragedy of the last several years: the resurgence of the Vocoder. To be fair, the worst offenders actually use variations on the device like the Sonovox and Autotuner, but all of them are children of this mighty beast. Once an innocent vocal effect to help sing a song of love between a boy and his computer, the Vocoder family has since become a studio trick to cover up the fact that many of today's Pop singers can't actually sing (like, at all).
